Song cover for Zoltan Liptay (Stardust).
Zoltan, lead guitarist of renowned and highly recognized Hungarian hard rock band "Stardust", approached me with a personal project: Turning a special song cover project he wanted to record since his youth into reality.
"Far Beyond The Sun", a well-known Yngwie Malmsteen classic, has been a part of his life for a very long time.
Now, Zoltan made this song his own, in the most impressive way.

CREATION
Finding a motif for an instrumental track is always a little harder than for a song with lyrics. I listened even more closely, let pictures shimmer through my mind. It is a fast, impressive song with many notes, but also evokes a certain feeling of endlessness and exploring new territories.
Sketch one showcases Yngwie as Zoltan's musical hero, in front of the sun, while Zoltan shapes his own version of the song. The second sketch is more playful and shows Zoltan as sci-fi inspired warrior with his Tokai guitar as weapon. Sketch three is minimalistic, playing with Zoltan's shape and the feeling of the unknown ahead.
It became sketch one, but with the guitar being the main actor of the scene, being put carefully to the focus.
For a streaming cover, it is very important that the image works in small sizes. That is why the guitar is so bright and prominent with only few details surrounding it. Zoomed out, the viewer focuses on the guitar and the man in front of the sun, who happen to be the main aspects of the painting. When the image is shown larger, the background details take effect.
