As wild and inevitable on stage, as deeply thoughtful and sensitive his soul.
Creating this piece of art, I tried to catch the very junction of these two sides that contradict each other.
Is it even a contradiction? Or is the otherwordly energy in his playing just the voice of his soul viewing the world?
Only himself could know.

So here it is. My deep obeisance to...

...Mr. James Marshall „Jimi“ Hendrix.

I gave my very best to do his greatness justice. Hope I could.

WHY GUITAR GODS?
Being a relatively new recruit of guitar world, I am sucking up every little piece of knowledge I can get. For my paintings, I dive deep into the history of a guitarist, read everything, and especially listen. I wish to ho-nor the Greatest with an art-work representing their par-ticular uniqueness and cha-racter.

Coming up next
in the "...'cause we call them Gods" artwork series:

#2 Carlos Santana
Wishing to show my deep appreciation and respect for this absolute master of his instrument, I currently work on an artwork of Mr. Carlos Santana.
The title of my series - painting the Gods of guitar - couldn't fit anyone better than him.
On the occasion of Mr. Santana's current European "Oneness" Tour which I am going to attend, this is the perfect moment to create his painting. I am giving all of my skills and passion for carving out the essence of his music - and, if anyhow possible - his light.

#3 Eddie Van Halen
If you ask any rock guitarist out there who inspired them, who made them want to play...
...chances are high that they answer: "EDDIE!!!"
The man who re-invented rock music, stunned humanity with this completely new style, bursting out with much more energy than anybody could ever expect.
This energy is what I will try to catch in my creation. The flowing energy, the stage presence, the almost electrifying power, that is what this painting needs. From the very first sketch, this must be the point of departure - as well as the end point. Simply every brushstroke must carry Eddie's unstoppable power.
