FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions.

#1 When should I order my artwork?

Simple answer: as soon as possible. The more time availabe, the better I can plan your artwork in my schedule and make sure you get the creation you want.

The more parts you need, the more time it will take, as well. Creating an entire CD layout is more time-intense than a streaming cover.

If you wish close contact with multiple design options during the creation of your artwork, plan an even larger time frame.

#2 What gear do you use?

Already waited for the gear question!

Watercolor, acrylics, digital graphic tablet or the stone-age pencil on paper. I use whatever "gear" suits your music best.

Only the highest quality art supplies find their way into my studio.
I choose only colors with very high pigment amount and excellent durability. Almost all of my papers are made by German quality company Hahnemühle.
For digital art, I rely on a Wacom Cintiq Pro 16 graphic tablet and my favorite program Krita.

#3 What price models do you offer?

The complexity and effort of a creative process can vary extremely, which makes preset prices impossible.
Pricing depends on whether you prefer a close contact during the creation, the amount of sketches and final files needed and amount of details in the artwork itself.
Please get in touch with me and tell me your budget and project idea to get an estimate.

#4 What does the process look like?

At the example of an album cover: First step is to get a feel for your music. I listen closely to the song or album you need an artwork for and create first sketches for you to look at. If you already have an idea, I implement it. Together, we take the next step and make up a concept. As soon as you are content, I start out on the final artwork.

#5 Can I send you photos to paint over?

If you are holding the copyright or a right of use, yes. If you hired a photographer, please make sure you purchased the right to change the picture.
I do not assume liability for copyright issues if you provided a photo without holding respective rights.

#6 Can I change the artwork I got from you with use of AI?

No. It is not permitted to upload my artwork to any AI service, also not for private use.

#7 Am I allowed to overpaint or change your artwork later?

By default, it is not allowed to change my artworks. But we can talk about everything!

#8 What subjects do you paint?

I DO paint:

- human beings, animals, fantastic animals, landscapes, nature, abstract art, objects, sceneries...

I DO NOT paint:

- Nudity, sexual scenes, violence, gore, blood, ethically questionable subjects.

I furthermore reserve the right to reject painting ideas which I cannot represent or which affect the rights of third parties.
